A few weeks ago, I clicked a picture of myself after putting our kid down for the noon nap. It was one of those rare, beautiful moments when everything just felt right. You know what I mean, if you’re parents to a toddler 🤭. We had an incredible start to the day—it snowed unexpectedly! I mean, it was February and it could snow, but wasn’t it expected, at least, me in my mom brain, I wasn’t. 🫣With spring just around the corner and me waiting desperately for sunny days, waking up to snow was magical and completely surprising.
We quickly grabbed a bite for breakfast, got the kids bundled up in their warmest gear, and went outside to enjoy this white and amazingly beautiful day. I must say, it was extremely cold, – 6 degrees, for someone growing up in the Northern India (desert), however, the laughter, happiness of people around us, those damn snowballs, and pure excitement filled my day and my little heart with warmth. After coming home, we shared a cozy lunch and settled the little ones into bed, their eyes heavy with sweet exhaustion from the morning’s adventure.🏂
In the calm that followed, I felt an overwhelming sense of fulfillment and happiness. It felt like the perfect moment to start something I’ve been dreaming about—a personal project that’s been lingering in my thoughts. But I needed a photo of myself, something genuine, something real. Feeling confident, content, and inspired, I took out my camera, smiled, and captured the moment just as I was .
Looking at that picture now, it reminds me of all the unseen efforts, the small victories, and simple joys that motherhood holds. Every mother, no matter where she is in the world, knows exactly how precious these quiet, triumphant moments are. They remind us of our strength, our ability to find joy amidst chaos, and the incredible beauty hidden in the everyday.
So here’s to all mothers around the world—embrace these little moments. Celebrate yourself, your courage, and the genuine happiness you cultivate every single day.🙏🥂
