right now, today, tomorrow, and forever,

whenever you need me, till my last breath,

even after I am not here anymore, within you,

as you are my responsibility that I wanted to always have,

when you need me and when you don’t need me,

I am there for you,
when you are small, a bit bigger, an adult, an old person,

I am there for you,
to clean your face a million times after you’ve finished eating,

I am there for you,
to clean up the mess because you’re too small or tired to clean up yourself,

I am there for you,
when you cannot sleep because your nose is clutched,
you can sleep on my arm instead, it does go numb after a while
but I love having you right next to me,

I am there for you,
when you want to be right next to me because you’re scared of the new faces,
and unknown people make you uncomfortable,

I am there for you,
when you’re not able to stretch and grab something because you’re tiny
but you wish to reach for that bouncy ball and throw it on the floor,

I am there for you,
when you want to have a swing but cannot sit on your own,
I will put you on my lap and swing with you,

I am there for you,
when we are out for a walk and you cannot walk anymore because you are tired,
I will pick up on my shoulders and we will walk together covering distances & explore places together,

I am there for you,
when you’re teething and you cannot enjoy eating,
I will make your special meals or cold ice-creams out of fruits,
because this gives your gums a good sensation,

I am there for you,
when you wish to jump like the other older kids but you haven’t learned it yet,
I will hold you and throw you up high in the air and catch you,
because it is amazing to be so high once a while,

I am there for you,
sometimes too much, sometimes a little, but I am there,
always remember, I might get tired because I am a human after all, and get frustrated,
but I am there, right now, today, tomorrow, and forever!
