For me personally, having a job in parallel to your studies does not only help you achieve financial flexibility but it makes you a responsible person who is capable of managing a job, studies, and some traveling – that you do with that job 😉 – every now and then.

Most importantly, if this job is in a company then you get to understand the work culture, meet new people, see how they work, company’s work ethics, how deadlines look like and how to make sure you accomplish your tasks before the deadline is expired.
